Football: Tettleton earns MAC honors again
Ohio quarterback Tyler Tettleton did not play during the final five minutes of the game Saturday, but his performance during the first 55 was enough for him to be named the Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week.
Tettleton, a redshirt sophomore from Norman, Okla., passed for 276 yards and two touchdowns. He has now gone 19 quarters without throwing an interception.
His performance helped the Bobcats escape with a 17-10 win against Kent State. At 4-1, Ohio is off to its best start in 14 years. Its 3-0 mark at home is the best since 2005.
