Ohio Volleyball honors a coaching legend

Earlier this season, Ryan Theis and the Ohio Volleyball program honored Bowling Green head coach Denise Van De Walle for what will be 29 years of service to the Falcon volleyball program.

When I spoke with her. she said a big deal didn't need to be made about Ohio's gesture, but she wanted to extend her gratitude to the Ohio Volleyball program.

Senior middle blocker Katie Post acknowledged that it will be a tough match because the opposition will play inspired in one of Van De Walle's last home games.

"It's going to be intense and emotional," Post said. "We just have to keep our composure and we will be good."

She is the winningest coach in Mid-American Conference history with a mark of 508-366. She will retire at the end of this year as the conference's longest tenured coach.
