Women found with 14 grams of heroin in body cavity

A Nelsonville resident was arrested for heroin possession Friday.

The Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Kayla S. Losey, 22, of 75 Crihfield Drive in Nelsonville, for alleged possession of heroin and tampering with evidence, according to a news release from Sheriff Pat Kelly.

The Narcotics Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle owned by Losey and Matthew C. Long, 30, of 75 Crihfield Dr. in Nelsonville, and found about 14 grams of heroin the two were allegedly distributing, according to the release.

The heroin was concealed in Losey’s vaginal cavity, according to the release.

Losey is incarcerated at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, and a warrant has been issued for Long, according to the release.

Anyone who sees Long should contact the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.
